Western Hot SauceCategories: Barbecue, Sauces Yield: 1 servings 1/2 c Catsup 1 ts Paprika 1/4 c Water 1/2 ts Oregano; dried, crushed 1/4 c Onion; finely chopped 1/2 ts Chili powder 3 tb Red wine vinegar 1/4 ts Salt 2 tb Vegetable oil 1/8 ts Cloves; ground 2 ts Brown sugar 1 Bay leaf 2 ts Worcestershire sauce 10 ml Garlic; minced 2 ts Mustard seed; whole In saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring mixture to a boil; reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes, stirring once or twice. Discard bay leaf. Use to baste hamburgers or ribs last 15 minutes of grilling. ----- ---------- |
