Plum And Cinnamon Cobbler

Yield: 4 servings

5 Plums; halved and stoned
1 Pinches cinnamon
1/2 Orange; peeled, cut into
; chunks

-------------------------------FOR THE DOUGH-------------------------------
150 g Self-raising flour
1/2 ts Baking powder
40 g Soft brown sugar
40 g Butter
2 tb Double cream

Preheat oven to 220c/425f.

1 Cook the plums gently in a pan with the cinnamon and orange until soft.
Cool slightly, and place in the bottom of an 8" or 9" ovenproof dish.

2 For the Dough: Sift the flour, baking powder, stir in the sugar and rub
in the butter until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Stir in enough cream
to give a fairly soft dough.

3 Lightly roll out the dough to fit the dish, and place on top. Bake in the
oven for about 10-15 minutes.
