Pepita Chile SnacksCategories: New, Veglife2 Yield: 28 servings 1 lb Pepitas; (pumpkin seed ; kernel 3 tb Lime juice 3 tb Soy sauce 1 ts Cumin 1/2 ts Black pepper 1/2 ts Garlic powder 1/2 ts Thyme 12 oz Whole wheat type Chex cereal Salt & cayenne pepper to -taste Cooking spray Preheat oven to 375 F. In a large mixing bowl or pot, combine pepitas, lime juice, soy sauce, and cumin. Toss to coat evenly. Add cereal and toss again. Spread mixture out on a nonstick baking sheet. Spray lightly with oil and sprinkle with salt and cayenne, if desired. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, stirring halfway through, until toasty and lightly browned. By "Karen C.
