Cape Seed Loaf - South AfricaCategories: Twelve, Chefs, Of, Christmas Yield: 1 servings 200 g Bran 300 g Wholemeal flour 75 g Sunflower seeds 75 g Pumpkin seeds 50 g Mixed poppy and sesame seeds 500 ml Luke warm water 1 tb Dried yeast 2 ts Salt 75 g Sultanas; (optional) 1 ts Caster sugar Put the caster sugar into the luke warm water and whisk in the yeast. Put aside for a few minutes. Mix all other ingredients in a mixer, adding the yeast water slowly. Check that the mixture is thoroughly mixed before putting it into a well-greased loaf tin. Allow to prove for 10 minutes and then bake at 220C until ready, about 40 minutes. ----- |
